SoNoRo FRIENDS

Sonoro Friends is an exceptional cultural event, created with the aim of promoting chamber music, the most intimate mode of making music.

Founded in 2006, the Sonoro Festival managed, after only three editions, to gain an excellent reputation due to its contemporary approach, the innovative program and the fascinating interpretations, achieved with the help of top international musicians.

In this short period of time, the festival has already succeeded to collaborate with the Chamber Music Festival in Riga, Latvia, Chiemgauer Musikfrühling of Traunstein from Germania and Music at Plush from Great Britain.

During the season 2009/2010, the Sonoro Festival will be promoted at Carnegie Hall in New York, Wigmore Hall in London and at Konzerthaus in Viena.

The Sonoro – Interferences educational project aims at collaborating with the most talented young Romanian musicians. This year, the project went beyond the Romanian borders, proving the real Romanian music potential in Montepulciano, Italy.

The Sonoro Festival produced two successful albums – Songs and Dances of Life and The Seasons, as well as a photo album signed Serban Mestecaneanu: Sonoro – Imagining Music.
